Author’s Desk
Todd Eckard has always found comfort in worn pages and quiet rooms. Writing, for him, is less about performance and more about listening—to memory, to imagination, to the small whisperings of everyday life…and to the songs of his soul.
He writes poems and tales for long evenings and unhurried mornings, believing that words, like old wood and well-used leather, grow more beautiful with age. Words settle differently on paper than in his mind. The works shared on these pages are not declarations, but offerings — small pieces of ink meant to weather with time.
The Rusted Quill is simply his desk by the lantern — a place to pull up a chair, warm yourself by the fire and stay awhile.
